I have pretty much done everything possible to try and get rid of the "failed to join game" issue. does anyone have any suggestions. I have tried power cycling, port fowarding, upgrading firmware, adding the file to aoe game folder, removing files from aoe game folder. those are just off the top of my head...please help I really want to participate in the tourney

Re: Connecting Issues

I used to have that problem really badly.  What I ended up doing is setting my router to a static IP.  Now I very rarely get failed to joins, and I think 90% of the time it's a problem on their end when it happens.

I still have to restart my router every now and then, but it works well.  Unfortunately, odds are it won't help you out.

Re: Connecting Issues

In the interest of not doing something really bad to your router, no smile

I assume you've tried portforward.com?
