TSM Dethrones DoD in AoT Season 17

Since Season 12, there has been no other winner in the Age of Mythology - The Titans Clan League. In Season 11, it was KorN, and then they fell to the great Deities of Death who reigned for the longest two and a half years. But not anymore. Tsunami Clan ended the unique, total dominance over the AoT gaming scene and are now the clan to be beaten.

The course of the finals was rather tumultuous and after some administrative deciding, the real match started on an appropriately summerly map, Mediterranean.

TSM went for the standard approach and took for the water, whereas DoD boldly disregarded the bountiful sea and planned for an early attack on land. Perhaps they expected a quick work of it, but their initial efforts were rather easily broken off for what was supposed to be a decisive strike, and both sides ended in nothing but not victory and it remained to be seen what was coming next.

The damages done were not substantial to the team and TSM was able to continue with their game and fend off waves after waves of attacks on their left, on the right, Sensuy even gained advantage and pushed successfully forward to secure his side of the map. When DoD saw this was going nowhere, the fighting ceased and that opened the window of opportunity PLAYER was waiting for to neatly Passage far behind enemy lines and take their foes completely by surprise.

TC and villagers fell as yellow army rampaged, luring the DoD batallions back from the frontlines to defend their homes. Soon J4Jc3 went Ragnarök, and whilst the home crisis was being resolved, second chance to finish the game for DoD was here. Weapons engulfed in flames as strong and crackling as the ones in the forums, the possessed villagers marched forward not to be stopped even by the terrible wrath of Hera's. Only Xeninha's solid fortifications swayed their resolve and made them turn back to wait for the red army of doom (called Szia) to continue their assault.

The push was much strong and even Sensuy had to help his two comrades, but nonetheless the gods were ever so slowly advancing. TSM had to resort to the last means of defense, invoking the Titan, and beyond the strong fortifications, they were successful in bringing the beast back to life. Meanwhile on the right, Sensuy kept the side more than busy, finally too discovering his own Cerberus.

A nice finishing touch was then PLAYER's establishment of a Colossus beachhead right on DoD's doorstep, utilizing the sea dominance to the fullest and creating yet another, and this time final, surprise havoc in the enemy's homes.

The second game, as opposed to the first one, took place on a frozen Tundra.

The open map is always inviting to an early fight, and players gladly heeded the Nature's calling and went for their weapons soon into the game. J4Jc3's Hersirs took to the spoils of war in earnest and harrassed the villagers all they could, soon to be joined by KiLLerboy_'s men to advance on Sensuy's base. Meanwhile PLAYER decided to have some equestrian pillaging fun himself, and so Xeninha was the one to break off her planned attack to help defend TSM bases.

The effort was easily successful and DoD soon found themselves deep in trouble as their opponents utilized Ceasefire to further establish their Settlement control, far overpowering the defending champions in that regard now. PLAYER all the time continued with the raiding, now housing a full stable of nasty Centaurs, keeping busy part of DoD's armies and disrupting the economy. He was later joined by part of Xeninha's own soldiers, whereas the other part of her troops found their way along with Sensuy's boys to the right of the map where KiLLerboy_ just finished making a TC, supported by J4Jc3's Healing Spring. The battle was not an even one and they were soon forced to withdraw whatever remained of their men-at-arms.

The battle came back to TSM with vengeance and took a toll of a Settlement, but luckily for them, Deities did not have the means to continue the severe violence and had to break off the attack and bring tactics back to the table. What they did not know, however, was that Xeninha's fondness of big guys made her discover yet another Titan in the match, soon followed by another by her teammate, and such force was not in the powers of the now former champions of RTS League to overcome anymore.
