Many of you have already heard or read about the upcoming upgrade of the community web AgeSanctuary. They plan to expand to new games and create a site that would be a real hub for all the strategy gamers from across the world. The position of RTS League as the foremost clan competition for the games they do and plan to support made us think about a way in which we could both benefit from a closer cooperation of our two websites.
We, as a competition, can provide a lot of quality recorded games, and seeing as that is one of the key aspects of AgeSanctuary, it is obvious we can help them out in that area. On the other hand, they can supply the much needed publicity for these games, and, in effect, for you, the players who take part in those epic battles worth seeing. All this made for an easy idea - a dedicated forum just for us, the RTS League.
At the moment, there are forums for Age of Empires III - The Asian Dynasties and Age of Mythology - The Titans, but upon the arrival of RTS-Sanctuary, there will also be a forum for our oldest and most successful game, Age of Empires II - The Conquerors.
With those two in place, we encourage you to post games you deem worth it at the appropriate forum at AgeSanctuary for them to get all the extra attention they deserve. When posting the game, do not forget to include a description of which season and round the game is from. Also please include a link to our web www.rts-league.org (or directly to the recorded games - www.rts-league.org/leagues/tad/replays/, with the part in italics optionable for tad, aot and aoc), so that the viewers might watch unposted games that strike their fancy.
Games will also be posted by both RTS League and Sanctuary staffers, so please check to avoid doubleposts. Also take into account that posting a game at AgeSanctuary does not remove the necessity of posting the game here, too. We need this to verify the results of your matches.
All this is just the first step in our cooperation, and more features benefiting both sites and, what is most important, you, the players who are the ones we all do this for, will surely follow in due time.
