RTS-League: Clan Leagues for Strategy Gamers

I hope you have used the lengthy pause to train your skills and strategies and now you're all ready to jump in and have some fun in RTS League's Age of Mythology: The Titans Clan League! LNC have won two titles in a row, but now they seem to be out of the picture - who's going to take the throne in Season 21? You?

Because RTS League's aim is to provide fun and friendly place to compete, we have prepared a novelty starting this season for you to enjoy - new maps available for League play!

We have gone through community modding efforts and selected 4 new maps and 2 updated versions of current maps that have been well tested and will provide a new level of fun above the standard mapset we have all played hundreds and thousands of games upon. The maps are in their themes similar to the faster paced maps in Random mapset, so they fit well with the other, original maps. Thanks Chrono and Fen for your work in getting this done!

The new and updated maps are: Ghostland RTSL, Lamia RTSL, Midgard RTSL, Molde RTSL, Siwah RTSL, Sea of Worms RTSL.

We have also created new mapsets that include the above mentioned maps: Random RTSL, Random All RTSL.

For the easiest possible way for you to play the maps, we have created a Voobly mod with them called the Official RTS League Mapset. Just click on Download Now and when hosting a game room, select the mod from the Settings.

You can, of course, still use the original versions of the maps and original mapsets.

We thank Lautan, Nakamura and BoIt for their modding efforts in creating these maps!

Some of you have been worried about the Nomad map and how it potentially affects gameplay in the League. We have listened to your worries and weighed all the pros and cons and decided to make Nomad available only if both teams agree. Therefore the clans that liked playing it might continue to do so, but only if they encounter a like-minded opponent. Teams that are uncomfortable with this map need not worry about it anymore.

We have also updated our pro-fun and anti-abuse rules with a clause that somehow got lost over the years, but has its place there. Here's the complete rule in all its glory, take care to read it, as we have again last season seen some of its parts being broken.

Rule 8.5 wrote:

The goal of the League is to ensure fair play and fun for all participants. Abusive tactics, such as hunt deleting or building excessive walls near settlements, gold mines, or wonders, are not permitted. Using Kronos's Time Shift and Poseidon's Lure on the map King of the Hill is also prohibited.

Please sign up your clan only if you seriously want to take part in the League, do not sign up inactive clans or clans with too few players to actually meaningfully compete. Clans that drop out during the season will be excluded from the next one/s.

Sign-ups will be closed on Friday 13th December, Season 21 will start soon after.
