Well, isn't this something. Revenge of Knights ruled over RTS League's Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Clan League with a firm hand for 6 (!) seasons, that's about 2.5 years. Simply amazing achievement that will forever remain etched in the history of both RTS League and the AoC community. But, as with all good things, the total supremacy had to end one day.
Subtle hints that Season 34 might be different for RVK began appearing right in the group stage where several other clans were performing very well and were producing some really good team efforts - to name a few ToRiHiYo, New Chapter, Power of Japan, Dream of Winners. And when Playoffs came and RVK were losing 0:1 in a Quarterfinal Bo3 (video) versus Lords of Skulls, everyone knew they will be challenged hard this time.
Semifinal with DoW (video) was then a real treat, offering the highest quality and fun team games. The mysterious team fought amazingly well and everyone was wondering who those guys might be, and if you read further, you'll find out But still, RVK were able to cope with what stood in front of them and continue their dream of another title.
That PoJ will be strong contenders for top spots was becoming clear quite soon, their absolutely commanding Division 4 performance with zero losses was consistent with their constantly good RTSL performances. Quarterfinal (video) with Clan Arg was another memorable League match where they had to put forth the best in them to beat the seriously well-playing Argentinians.
Their second-to-last clash (video) in the season with nC then showed what makes PoJ one the best clans out there - top notch team play and strategy execution. Even though the Germans are no pushovers, they were the previous season's finalists, the 4v4 battles proved what's so great about RTS League - if you know what you want to do, if your team accepts it and plays according to the well-thought-through plan, you can overcome strong enemies even on their home turf, or rather Forest. The correct decision for a sling wins you the game.
The highly anticipated Grand Finals were a match everyone was looking forward to, with top quality clans and players ready to show the world what it means to play AoC clan war. With great names such as dogao, Chocobo, St4rk, Escape, Chris, Tokiwamiao, miguel, we could have expected games of epic proportions. And we got just that - four battles to the death where exquisite teamplay prevailed and confirmed what RTS League stands for in the "Age of" world - the traditional competition crowning the best clan with the best team play in the community.
And so, after a memorable 3:1 victory, the Champions of RTS League's Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Clan League, Season 34 are:

The third place match between nC and DoW was played earlier and it really proved why it's sometimes called the "small final". Both clans showed at their top form, fighting hard for the available banner, and so it was only natural that a fifth game, the decider on Blind Random, had to be played. With some real great performance over the whole season, the clan taking home the Bronze Banner is:

And you're wondering who the heck these guys behind the Dream of Winners are? Such top quality efforts and no one knows those skillers? Well, since it would be only fair for the whole of community to know with whom to connect this great success of being the third best team in the AoC community, we did some digging, connecting the dots, and, let me tell you, certain tips you fans made during the streams and in the discussions were right on spot
If you had your own tip, here's the time to see how well you know the top players - these experts are DoW, the team that provided you with loads of quality entertainment, the team that gave quite some headache to the top AoC clans, the team that came third in RTSL:
dnzdalgic, Emin, Fedex, Juan, Nicov
So, how well did your tips go?
No matter if you knew or didn't, all that now remains before closing up yet another great season of AoC Clan League is to congratulate all the top finishing clans and also heartily thank all the participants!
