in fact none of the accounts they posted under 'clan members' have games and are newly created accounts.

They are a bunch of friends forming a team to play in the League, and since they have supplied their real nicks to us, the staffers, we have allowed them to participate. Because we know who the individual players are, we have seeded them according to their true skill and we are also actively keeping an eye on things on behalf of you other clans to prevent potential problems.

So how are we supposed to prepare ourselves to play someone who doesnt exist? Isnt it a little unfair that they know who we are, while we have no idea what map they play better/worse in order to make a strategical choice?

I understand your concern and we partly share the opinion that this kind of participation is not ideal, so rest assured we take such issues seriously, we talk about this a lot every season.
The advantage of "knowledge", as you say, is real, but shouldn't be all that overrated - overall this situation is similar to any new clan entering the competition for the first time, or even established clans who suddenly use unusual players in their line-ups - until they play their first games to determine where they stand, you don't really know what they're about. Just look at Arg this season, they are a top tier clan, yet they are this season not playing with the same level of players as previous ones. You cannot be sure who's going to stand against you in the match.
Simply you should always play to the best of your abilities, don't underestimate anyone, choose the map you're the strongest on, prepare and practice strategies, and leave as little to chance as possible - that's the way to victory
